"NOT WHAT I EXPECTED"
First off, I’m grateful we made it to our destination and got back home in one piece. But let me tell you, I booked a 15-passenger van and was promised it would be brand new. When we got to the pickup spot, the folks there were incredibly rude. It was around 3 PM, and they kept saying they were about to close. The van they handed us was a 10-passenger model, definitely NOT NEW, and it looked like it had seen better days. The inside was a mess, with worn-out seats that were stained and torn, a broken headrest, and a whole lot more! I was shocked that this was what I got for $758. Unfortunately, they told me it was the only van they had, and since I had a church event coming up, I had no choice but to go with it. Their website claims, "all our vehicles expertly maintained and when you rent a van from Airport Van Rental, rest assured that you’re getting top-quality vehicles and the most dedicated services at the lowest possible prices." Well, at the Atlanta location, that couldn’t be further from reality.

Hey there, folks interested in my thoughts. I have no issues with the service I received. Socoro looked after me well. The customer service was great, super helpful, and everything was clean and respectful. It's crucial to have nice folks around who are passionate about their work. I'm giving this a solid 5 STARS!!! WE'RE EXCITED TO VISIT LAS VEGAS AGAIN!!! For sure, we'll be back.

"Get What You Pay For"
The vehicle was pretty worn out both inside and out. It handled like a golf cart, which ain't exactly what you want for a trip to the mountains. I was really frustrated when the staff sold me a toll pass that I thought I needed, only to find out that all the tolls were closed once I hit the road. They quoted me $12 a day for the pass, but I ended up being charged $13.50 daily. The biggest hassle came when I was returning the car. They provided clear instructions for after-hours drop-off, but following them was impossible. There was a number to call, but the mailbox was full. You’re supposed to leave the parking space and section details on the voicemail, but guess what? The spaces weren’t labeled. So, I ended up leaving the rental, unlocked, with the keys inside at a park and fly, which felt pretty risky since their policy says I’d be liable for any damage that happened while parked after hours.

"Terrible customer support"
Absolutely terrible customer support! They provide contactless pickup options, which I specifically requested when I made my booking since we’re traveling with a group of 12 (and most of them are little kids). Then I got a call saying I needed to redo my reservation, which I did, but at a higher rate since my original price was gone. I was told I could pay before arriving due to my daily limit, but now I’m being told that’s not possible. And of course, with just three days left until our trip, I can’t change or cancel without incurring fees. I really should have gone with Enterprise or Avis like I usually do!

"Concerning Experience with GM Toby Holton in Atlanta"
The general manager, Toby Holton, at the Atlanta branch is quite the character. He behaves as if he’s at the helm of a criminal enterprise, acting like a mob boss. After I reported him and his company, AVR, to various government bodies, including the Attorney General's office in Atlanta, I managed to get my deposit back. That’s when Mr. Holton decided to place me on a national no-rental list, and he did it without any legal justification—just because he felt like it. It’s pretty alarming that a company like AVR allows someone like him to handle sensitive financial data, like a copy of my credit card and my driver’s license. With all the identity theft happening these days, I wouldn’t trust him with that kind of information, especially after witnessing their actions.

STEER CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY!!! YOU'LL REGRET IT IF YOU ENGAGE WITH THEM IN ANY FORM. Don’t just believe me, check out the other feedback here and on their Facebook visitor posts. Still not convinced? Take a look at their BBB rating. I really wish I had known this before I got involved with them. Hopefully, this will help someone else dodge the blunder of working with this company.

"Terrible experience from beginning to end"
Terrible experience from beginning to end. The person at the front desk was really rude and threw out some racist remarks. The van was old and had a bad smell. The fuel tank was nearly empty. That poor van barely made it back since the engine was failing. The windshields were malfunctioning and made a squeaky noise. When we returned the van, the same guy who rented it to us claimed he couldn’t refund our deposit. Lesson learned: never go for the cheapest option! It's worth spending a bit more for decent customer service and safety.

"Best Budget Choice at AVR DALLAS"
Our experience with AVR Dallas was pretty solid. Honestly, we were a bit worried after reading some reviews before booking. To tell the truth, we ended up taking a last-minute flight, and they were the only affordable choice we found. When we arrived, we had to hang around for them to tidy up the van, which wasn’t the best situation, but the staff were nice and helpful. The van wasn’t exactly a stunner, but it got us to our destination, so we were satisfied.

"Extremely let down by my A 11 order..."
I was really let down after ordering an A 11 passenger van. I called the night before, and they assured me it was all good. But when I arrived, they didn’t have it available. Ended up having to rent two mini vans instead, and they charged me way more than I expected.
"AVR Rents Out Faulty Vehicles!!"
I booked a van for a business trip to Minnesota, and I got zero support. The van ended up breaking down on me, and guess what? There’s no AVR in Minnesota, which I wasn’t informed about, even though they knew I was driving all that way. When I called for help, they said the repairs were my responsibility. Can you believe that?! NEVER, EVER renting from them again! I’m not the only one with issues—check out the other complaints before you think about renting from this company. They’ll rent you anything, even if it’s not functioning right. They don’t care if you break down in the middle of nowhere! They are SCAMMERS!!!

"Terrible customer service experience..."
I had a really bad time with their customer support during the pandemic. They’ve made a bunch of promises but haven’t followed through on any of them. It’s been over two months, and I’m still waiting for my refund. They just ignore my messages, don’t reply to my emails, and the phone number they gave me doesn’t even work. Seriously, steer clear of airport van rental.
